No Rest for the Wicked

Sometimes life does not work out the way you want it to.

Sometimes you spend an unseasonably warm and beautiful fall day inside making food

and trying to get good lighting for pictures.

Five hours and 157 pictures later,

you might sit down with your husband to eat your autumnal feast.

He might take a bite and look at you like you just fed him arsenic.

You might take a bite yourself and decide that it’s definitely not arsenic but it’s definitely not good either.

You might spend the rest of the day being the Wicked Witch of the West reincarnated

wanting to set scarecrows on fire because it was a colossal waste of time, energy, and food.

You might make yourself go to bed at 9:30 because your bad mood has your husband wanting to drop a house on you.

And you might wake up on Sunday and decide that it might be a good idea to take a break from the kitchen.

You’ll just have to decorate the house for the holidays and promise your husband that you won’t be a witch anymore.

Unless it’s Halloween and you can convince him to let you go trick or treating.

  1. Hey Shana,
No waste of time here. It gave you ideas for your creative blog! You know we read them half for the entertainment, right? When you laugh at your own witchiness, we laugh too!
